So I'm running into my problems with '85 Waggy D44. I picked it up wicked cheap with the leafs with the intention of installing manual hubs. Not a problem. I'm stripping it down getting ready to sand blast it, install the chevy 44 knuckles and the high steer kit.

I usually use a friend's garage equipped with tools and all, but he's in the process of moving and I'm very limited to what I can use.

The Ubolts are stuck like none other. They've been soaking for a week now with bi-daily sprays of penetrating oil. They're still stuck. I've thrown everything I have at it so far, including the giant hammer. Nothing. Is it time to use the torch and just cut the mofos off?

I'm close to having all the parts gathered and being able to actually start the swap and this is just taking up too much of my time waiting for the oil to do it's job and for me to grow muscles big enough to tear the bitch off.

Time to torch?

Another question

I was researching how to hang my leafs up front and I came across a Yota sight with a hanger kit for runnin leafs. I'm thinking it could be "adapted" to work for my Ranger.

For 189 bucks it's worth a shot.

And on that note, any one know what width typical yota leafs are?

Sawzall, angle grinder, hot wrench,ect...; choose whichever weapon you want. I personally would use an impact, either a 3/4 inch drive or a high end 1/2 inch.

Woah now, it's not that I cant figure them out, it's that I'm very limited in what I have available to use at the moment. I got the axle out just fine with a good selection of tools. It's hard to do everything with a braker bar and a set of mismatched sockets while everything else is boxed up.

I took the sawzall to it today and got through a bit before I had to go to work. I need to pick up a new blade tomorrow, but I'm making progress. I'll have access to a torch this weekend.

I decided to go with a HP D44 out of a 79 Bronco and a Ford 9"

I didn't wan to deal with leaves and a shitty approach...
