I converted from F.I. to carb, I left the same heads on it, and didn't keep any of the emission crap. It leaks exhaust from the rear of the heads where something from the emissions were. I was wondering if anyone new what to use to plug these holes to keep it from leaking exhaust. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I did something similar. Removed all the smog stuff of my 5.0 mustang. There was a pipe that runs between the heads. I took some thick piece of steel and cut a plate to block of the holes and use the copper gasket crap. Worked great. Used the piece I pulled off the heads to cut out the steel. I think it was 1/4" thick or thicker piece I used.

The holes for the air injection. The holes are standard UNC thread, a bolt will work. Find two bolts and shorten the threads to about 1/2in or so from the head of the bolt. Add some teflon sealant and screw them in. I did that on a set of 351 heads at one point. Worked fine, no leaks.

on mine I just cut the pipe that joined the two pieces at the the part, so I had the two little inlet blocks (one at the back of each head) then I filled the holes where I cut the pipe with welding slag and that was that. simple and a perfect fit.

I have a friend that swapped in a 5.0L and I recall him having the same issues. Interestingly, I believe he used 2 old spark plugs to block the holes...
Something to try if you run out of ideas... I personally wouldn't do it though :).
