look at the top of the page for technical library--click on it & look for engine swaps--it might not have exactly what you're looking for, but it will give you a good idea about using wiring diagrams to splice the right wires together:icon_thumby:

Find the right wiring diagram for your truck--then find the right wiring diagram for the 5.0 engine. Then start wit an easy component like the oil pressure switch on the engine block. follow the wires from that switch to the connector--label the connector "engine oil pressure switch". Now look at the truck wiring diagram and find the connector and wires on the diagram that connect the engine oil pressure switch to the firewall connector--then find the actual wires and connector in the engine compartment--label that connector "firewall connector to engine oil pressure switch". If the two connectors wont plug together, you can order replacement connectors from NAPA , or you can take one wire at a time-snip it from the original connector & splice it to the correct wire coming from the firewall connector that you found & labeled. Do this for each component or sensor on the engine--about 40 hours later, you will have a running engine. There ain't no short-cuts--I already tried em...I didn't know anything bout wiring diagrams when I started my project either, a bottle of advil and 40 hours later truck was running great, but the 39.9 hours before that was rufff :headbang:
