Hey everybody. So I scrapped my 92 Ranger and took off all the lowering parts. I had DJM I-Beams on it. Can I put those on my 86? They seem to be exactly the same but I don't know. Any help would be great. Thanks

ah you can but there is some catch's i used early ranger beams and spindles on my bro's 95 and had to use everything including the calipers. the ball joints are in the beam rather than the spindle i belive. you must save the entire beam/spindle/rad arm/caliper/disk to use them. atleast thats what i did. the caliper bolts and the softlines are all the same with new copper washers. on my bro's truck i used everything down to the radius arm bushings and the bolts. i dont think just the early beams will work as the ball joints are on the wrong side. as for the rear do an axle flip it'll be all good

Going from a '92 to '86 will be easier than you think.

You will just have to keep the spindle from the '92. Everything else will work straight across.

All the radius arms were the same from '83-'97.
All the brake calipers were the same from '83-'94. '95-'97 were different.
I-beams from '83-'88 had the balljoints in the AXLE. '89-'97 ball joints are in the spindles.

Keep the work for yourself easy, don't take the spindle off of the axles because you will not need to. Just pop in the new axle and spindle as a whole.
