Hey guys. I've just been reading all your techI just found this site yesterday, I wish it was a year ago. I have an84 Bronco II. Since last December I've had to put in a new engine, 2.8. Had the tranny rebuilt. And added dual exhaust. It's been giving me problems all the way through, today i'm getting back from the shop that put in the engine it didn't have any power and the tranny doesnt sound right. I just had shoulder surgery so I have time and want to squeeze every bit of hp I can get out of that engine. Any advice as to where I should start is appreciated. I've been reading the forum and tech library boy would I have played my hand different. Cool site, looking forward to making my bronc kick ass.

love the screen name!

now that you found this site..........you are really at that point!
let the fun and work begin!
welcome!

Wow - with the odd thread title and screen name, I was afraid another spam bot had managed to slip through. Pleasant surprise. Welcome!

Check out the 2.8 forum. One option you may want to look at is the Duraspark conversion and eliminating the TFI/EEC-IV controls. You didn't mention your location, but as long as your inspections aren't overly nosy visually then you wouldn't have any problems.

Welcome to TRS.

As fastpakr said, do the duraspark conversion if you can. Not only gets rid of all the emission crap, computer, and the POS feedback carb and the associated wiring, making for a less cluttered engine compartment, but also a lot easier to work on. Did mine and love it.

Thanks for the solid welcome guys. The first night I found this site I was all over the Tech Library and was all but sold on the Duraspark conversion. I just wanted some real time reviews from existing members like you all. Big thanks to Skippy hes given me a grip of good advice already. I appreciate the open welcome and hope after a while I can make a helpful contribution.

Welcome to the site--(can you get your avatar to turn the other way sometimes--I'm really gettin dizzy.....:icon_rofl:
