4X4 Dash Light On and Cant disengage

I just finished my motor swap tonight. Motor runs mint and the tranny shifts fine. The treansfer case sems to be fine bu I cant get it to shift out of 4x4. The 4X4 light is on and I cant get it to turn off nor can I get the Low setting to engage. I checke the wiring and it all sems fine. Any ideas? I am displayig a check engine light as well. Thanx

kinda dumb answer, but did you try wih it in neutral?

did you try moving the truck a little bit b4 you hit the button sometimes its sticks. mine ust to do this b4 i swapped to a manual case and if i drove it a few feet and let off the gas and hit to go to 2wd it would go just because of the movement. as for the 4L problem i cant help you couldn't figure mine out that's y i went to a manual case

Yea I tires the moving forward and turning it off. Didnt work out. When I went to plug the tany back in there was two connectors along with the two O2 sennsors connections. So with 4 plugs in hand I connected the ones I knew of. Im cant figure out where the other one goes or even if it is used. It is a two wire plug with a round looking connection. Does anyone have any ideas? Im wondering if this is the issue.
