I have a 94 Ranger 4X4 and when i have it in 4 wheel and turn it feels like something is binding. It doesn't really make any noise it just makes the truck kinda hobble and it almost rips the steering wheel out of my hand. I have no clue what would cause this so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like normal conditions of 4x4 being wrongfully used on dry pavement...

I was on ice and there was about a half foot of snow on top. Also I just replaced all the u-joints because I thought that might be the problem, but of course not.

you replaced all 3 u-joints on the front axle, right? did you check to make sure the slip yoke wasnt seized while you were under there?

also...is it just at full lock that it binds or any time you are turning? If at full lock its normal.
