looking for info on yamaha snowmobile

I just picked up a 87 Yamaha exciter sled 570 l/c $750, brand new track, plastic ski conversion. flawless body. flat slide carbs, bender sectional pipe. Came with a dissembled bender race motor fully ported jugs milled head. nice cover and saddle bags.

I don't know shit about Yamaha's only owned ski-doos and one polaris.

So if you can guys can give me any info on these sleds. i would be thankfull

I'm not too familiar with Yamahas, we have mostly Artcic Cats, but my dad's friend got a 80-90's Phazer a while ago, and if the front suspension is anything similar to that (kind of the classic Yamaha telescoping shock type system), then you might check the little folding arm mechanism (two small arms with 3 pivots) that is part of the steering. On his, the bushings in there were shot, so the steering was very looses, and had ALOT of slop in it.

I can get you a picture of what I mean, when I get home from work if you don't understand what I am referring to above.
