Good day all,
Well this morning the Ranger wouldnt start. The truck has never given me this problem before so as far as I know, there is no preexisting problem. So the engine spins, but I am getting no start. I smell gas, so Im pretty sure the fuel pump is working. I thought it might be the coil but I tested that and it tested out fine. I thought maybe the fuel pump cut off switch might be bad but I looked under the dash and the red button was already pushed in. What else could it be?

PS - The truck is a five speed if that matters.

. So I have absolutely no idea why it did what it did, either way its fixed...sort of. I have another ailment that needs to be looked after. The truck once in a while, when I go to start it, does nothing. I turn the ignition and nothing, the lights are all there, but no start. I let the truck sit for a second or two, try it again and the truck starts up. I've taken out the starter and have had it tested at Checkers/Autozone and it checks out good...what gives?
