I noticed the rear-end is leaking around the bolts on my 1990 Bronco II....I'm a novice mechanic at best, how difficult is this to repair? Is this something that I could do easily, or am I looking at sending her to a mechanic? Help?!

It's rather simple, you take the bolts out, take the cover off and replace the gasket. (7.5 axle if you didn't know:))Then refill with gear oil as it will have all leaked out by now! :icon_thumby:

I would check the fluid level, if it's only a small leak you'll be fine, you just don't wanna be low on gear oil.

I have had a leak like yours in my DD for a year and half, I just periodically check the fluid.

Don't use a gasket, use RTV only, no need for a gasket.
