4x4 lights flashing

My 99 ranger has 98,000 miles 4.0 and my fourwheel drive did work but for about 2 months now the 4x4 high and 4x4 low lights flash while driveing down the road, now it wont engage into fourwheel drive at all and when I turn the lever to 4 high the lights dont come on at all any ideas??
 
Same thing

Mine did the same thing today. Looked up some threads and apparently it's a fuse under the hood. Do a 4wd problem search.
Although,up to today I had 4wd hi but no lo.
I'm still searching.
 
Your motor is probably seized up like mine. Remove it and rebuild the motor. Leave the blue plastic piece alone.
