I have two rangers, both 88 models. One is a 2.0 carbureted, and one is a 2.3 fuel injected. I was wondering if the 2.3 head will work on the 2.0 engine without any modifications. The 2.0 has been bored 60 over.
 
Interesting question, most people don't go that route.

If the valves don't hit the cylinder wall, and they shouldn't, then it will work.
