muffler fell off

my muffler was hangin when i got home and i just took it offwill it hurt my gas milage with out it ??
should i put a new one one it , its not load
 
it isnt going to change your gas mileage or power.

but i wouldnt leave it that way for long. exhaust gasses are extremely corrosive and will speed the progress of rust on steel items under the truck. you also run the risk of trapping a bubble of CO2 under the truck that can seep into the cap and poison you.

actually its CO(carbon monoxide) not co2(carbon dioxide). co is a posionous by-product of combustion. CO2 is all around us all. Fresh air contains around 0.033% CO2 by volume

just thought i'd through that in
