99 front ABS sensors, can they be cleaned?

Is there a way to remove and clean the front ABS sensors before I end up replacing my hubs? Do they pull out? I replaced the rear sensor in the pumpkin, but havent even seen the fronts yet, and the chiltons is vague on how they remove, it says see the dealer or replace the hubs. My 99 does the roll thru the stop due the ABS kicking on, if you dont catch it, it can be scary. Thanks for any advice.

Most of the time they are very corroded into the hub and will break while trying to remove them. I've also ran into problems where its the hub itself causing the problems, not the sensor.

Sometimes you can get them out but mostly they break. I managed to remove one at the junk yard and put into my 99 but mine broke when I removed it and then I had to get the broken piece out(pita).

Yea, when the break off i usually put a slef tapping screw into the peice that is left behind and use a small slide hammer to get it out.
