For whatever reason, when i turn on my truck and try to put it into reverse (5 spd) it makes a grinding noise and wont go into reverse or any other gear for that matter until i put it into 5th and then into another gear. I have to reverse out of my driveway so this is a problem in the mormnings. started yesterday morning and i had to put into 5th before reverse. i didnt try to put it into any other gear this morning before the 5th to reverse, but im sure the same thing would happen. any clues? i defintely had the clutch all the way in and all. Once i get going, i dont have any problems like this, so i dont know, although my clutch does seem a little slow.e.g. i have the clutch in and shift to second but has to be rammed down to get into gear.
