Spring bushings...

Getting all the stuff together to replace the brackets on the rear leaf springs. Figured I'll do the spring bushings while I'm in there. Should I go with rubber replacment type bushings or Polyurethane. Suspension is stock (no lift). If you think urethane are the way to go.. where's a good source to get them?

Do the stock bushings come out with the old burn 'em and bang 'em out method like others I've done on other vehicles??
 
Get the poly's but make sure you lube them before installing, energy suspension makes some good ones. Most will come out with the burn'em technique, when I did mine on my old ranger, I had to have the metal sleeps cold arc'ed out, depends on out many years of "rust welding" have taken place.
 
I would get the polys thats what I did and I really like em. The rubber ones will give you more travel since the are easier to compress. I just took out my old ones not to long ago to put in a set of duffs. Best way I found to do it was with a little propane torch. I had my whole rear out from under the truck so I stood it up on one tire and let the flame go inside the bolt hole for a few minutes. Then I took a air chisel bit slid it in there like the bolt was and hit it with the BF hammer. That took out the inner sleeve then the rubber just pops out and then I took the cutting chisel and air hammer to the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve was the real PITA. Not counting the inner sleeves it took maybe 5 minutes for each bushing to get em out.
