this is for anyone who has fabbed their own radius arms or who has extended the stock ones. how much should they be extended or how much longer should they be from the stock radius arms for a 4ish inch lift?

pics if you have any please

thanks

usually any aftermarket set will be long enough to reach the trans crossmember. then the transmission crossmember is replaced with one with radius arm mounting points built in. if you are making your own, i would shoot for the same length. make your frame attachment points near the same position.

im planning on making my own, or at least extending the stock ones. does that mean i need to mod my trans crossmember?

no, you can make stand-alone mounting brackets, probably put them just in front of the trans crossmember. lemme look for some pics.

read this thread theres lots of good pics.
also, here and here

If you want stand-alone brackets (keeping your stock crossmember), 12" extended is the number to shoot for (check out my BII Cardomain page, there are pics of the ones I made there).

If you want to incorporate into your trans member, 15" generally works well.
