Has anyone ever tried these chips from ebay


Dude.. never, ever EVER trust anything sold on ebay that makes such specific claims re: your engine performance.

I especially like "...And turn it into the street beast that it was born to be."
The Ranger 3.0 was not created with such beastly ambitions in mind. It's a workhorse. Slow, effective and durable.
If you want performance out of your truck, you're going to need to spend money, probably lots of it. If that is your ambition, there's a metric butt-load of info on this site about how to get fast.

Yea from what ive hurd these things are crap... any "performance" chip is gonna cost a little these will deff do more harm then good..... This is a Too good 2 be true things ....:icon_surprised:
 
Anything that fits such a broad range of vehicle years is usually a BS flag too.

Chances are it is a resistor that tricks the EEC into thinking it is running cold all the time, keeps the truck in open loop.
