is there any way we can take it off? its extremely inconvenient. when i want to find something like "3.0 fuel injectors", it rejects the 3.0 part, and of coarse "fuel injectors" is a very broad search term.
the example i ran into tonight is "ranger GT", GT is too short and searching for the word "ranger" on a site for ranger pickups is kind of pointless.
ive run into this problem quite a few times. our forum is the only one ive seen that limits you to a minimum search query.

Try it within quotation marks...it just worked for me using "Ranger GT"...

I always use the search at the very top right corner of the screen. It's less tempermental and searches EVERYTHING on this site.

funny i never really noticed the search at the top right. seems like it lets you use less than 3 characters, so i suppose that'll do :D
and ya the edited today at 9:16PM is left over from before the server switch. it doesnt even resemble the way the new forum marks a post as edited...id update it, but i guess it still tricks people the way it is :D
i have a habbit of not proof-reading posts until ive already posted them. so then i have to go back and edit them for spelling and grammer. the few posts that dont say "edited today" look like they were missing something...so now they all say it.

This is something that's annoyed the hell out of me too. (The 3 letter search thing, not wickeds sig. :D) I'm glad I read this.
And I'm not sure who's got more time on their hands, Wicked for thinking of a sig like that, or rick for noticing it....
...everyday......for the last few months? :icon_rofl:
*Though I haven't been on much lately, I'm usually just as bad.
*and the "last edited" looks fairly similar, just a different font......
*and placement.... :D
