Hey guys, I thought I would post up some of the pictures from our clubs annual Red Rose Mine trail run that takes place august long weekend every year. This was the first run with the new box and stuff on the truck. The truck did well other than putting some huge dents in the rear drive shaft in the first creek crossing. Drove the rest of the trail up and back down but had to pull the rear drive shaft and drive home in front wheel drive from the trail head.

Well heres some of the pics from the trail run:

Heres the small crew that i headed up with Friday night (more came up Saturday morning):

Airing down at the trail head:

The first rock garden:

The first creek crossing (we crossed it Friday night in the dark with no pictures, this is a picture of the crossing Saturday morning):

A bit of video of the creek crossing that night:

I had to change a U joint on the trail (had started making some noises):

The second creek crossing and then an obstacle we call the the Chute, its a very loose climb with some fair sized rocks on it and then a turn at the top up a vertical section:

Us coming to the rescue (jeep blew a rear d35 shaft chewing up the chute):

The third and final creek crossing:

A video of me in the third creek crossing:

Pulling into camp at the base of the mine:

And a couple of scenic shots from camp:

You can check out a ton more pics and videos at our clubs website http://www.coastmountaincrawlers.com

I had done a bit of one a while back, search for "the rangers tranformation".

The red toyota has the same idea going but his came off of a full size pickup and was cut down multiple ways to fit. Mine came off of an s10 and only had to be shortened to compensate for the bobbed frame and i also had to builder wider and bigger fender tubs to fit he 35's.

Its deffinatly a great run, look forward to that weekend every year

Origional never rebuilt A4LD 216,000km's and still shifting better than brand new!:icon_cheers:

All i ever did to it was a transgo shiftkit last year and yearly fluid changes.

If you happened to slide into some of the deep holes that were it it it was halfway up the doors in a hell of a hurry.
