i just bought this mustang and when I start it, it takes a few turns before it cranks. I'm suspecting spark plugs need to be changed but that's the only thing i can think of. Otherwise the car is in pristine condition.
Takes a few turns before it cranks as in you turn the key and nothing happens or you crank and crank and crank and then all of a sudden it starts? Also, what engine/trans?
i think the GT is a SOHC...only the cobras got DOHCs.
i would do a full tune up on it, fuel filter, plugs (motorcrap!), wires, PCV valve, O2 sensors if the miles are over 100K.
if it still does it, check fuel pressure when the ignition is keyed and make sure the system will hold pressure for at least 30 seconds (doesnt bleed off) with the engine off.
