think it would be worth it to put a solid front axle on a 4 banger?

yup....It's all about gearing.

so what would be the best gears to get and how hard is it to do a solid front axle conversion

Gears depend on tire size and the purpose of the truck. The solid axle can be done in a weekend if you have all the parts prepared or can drag on forever if you don't and if you run into unforeseen issues.

I'd guess 35" tires are a good start to an SAS and with a 4banger I'd run 5.13's. My SAS bolts onto the truck and could be installed in a weekend.

well i only would want to put like 33's on the truck. i wonder if mine would just bolt right on. I am really considering doing this so any information would be greatly appriciated

If your only planning on doing 33's, I'd probably just do a body lift and maybe a little trimming or shim the radius arms forward. In my opinion the cost and effort of doing a solid axle swap would be wasted on a truck not doing 35's or bigger as a D35 TTB will hold up to 33's without an issue.

well i need to get a new axle anyways thats why i was going to do

Well, if you never intend to go bigger then 33's I'd still just replace the D35 thats there. May I ask why you need a new one anyways?

well just everything went bad from not properly maintaining it

well...figure around 3k to get a solid axle truck on the road, everything finished properly.

You'd need to find:
Axle housing
Gears (front and rear)
Form of suspension (leafs/radius arms/linked)
Steering

You also need all the wear items for whatever axle you decide to run, seals/bearings/TRE's/Ujoints/hubs etc.

ive also done an SAS... from what you are wanting, this is the best advice! if you are not gonna go bigger than 33's i wouldnt waste the time and money on an SAS, even 35's would be okay with a dana 35 front, depending on your driving.

alright well my dad just found a dana 35 ttb off one of his buddies old trucks now how much would you think gears would be
