I have a 2004 Ranger extended cab. 2wd. and i think that the front end has been lowered but not 100% sure. Is there a way i can look underneath and see???? If so please tell me what to look for. I just got new tires and the tire guy said it looked like the front end had been lowered.

I am running 20'' rims and he said i should have more clearance in the front than i do. Any help would be great.

Look at the springs or spindle - do they look newer than the other components. An even easier way - ask someone here with a similar truck to measure from the ground to the wheel opening lip and compare to yours.

if it is lowered the control arms would be a gray instead of black, same with the springs. the only way to lower a newer ranger is control arms or springs. DJM is the most used so the parts would be gray instead of black. and the control arms will be made of tubes instead of being stamped.
