Anybody else think this is odd?

When buying pop, I can get a 2ltr. for at max about $1.59 at the store, and when on sale, I get them for usually just around $1. 1ltr's on the other hand, are always at least $1.79, sometimes more. How does it make sense to use half the plastic, and half the amount of pop, and charge more?

Yup, how many people walk around with a 2L? Also, 2L don't fit in cup holders.

You can also buy a 16oz bottle of water for $1.50 or go to a water fountain a drink for free. Supply and demand.

yup, smaller is more convenient. you're paying for the convenience.

that being said, the stock console in my explorer sport has one cupholder thats sized for a 2 liter :headbang:

I have a 87 Ranger, and my 2ltr cupholder is the passenger seat belt.

I don't even use the seat belt, lol. When I worked in the factories, if I felt like pop that day, I would buy a 2ltr. just to make it cheaper/more convenient to me so I wouldn't have to run to the pop machine all day. On days I didn't feel like pop, it was a gallon of water, lol.

I use the seat belt just in case I have to hit my breaks hard. I cannot stand flat pop and it's a shame to waist a whole 2ltr. Some days if I have my sweater or jacket, I'll use that as a buffer.

My highschool guidance counciller would walk around with a 2L of root beer because it was so much cheaper, which was rather comical because I don't think was even 5' tall (short guy drinking a huge bottle of pop).

If there is enough to make two drinks out of a 2 liter I will mix the alcohol of choice with it and carry it around. (never in public thought)
