In lieu of Veterans Day I thought I would share this, most of you already know this.

Here is a link if your interested, courtesy of the VFW http://www.vfw.org/index.cfm?fa=cmty.leveld&did=2479

Improper display of the flag is just one of my pet peeves. If you have an old worn flag I believe the VFW, American Legion and the Boy Scouts of America will dispose of an old one properly for you.

Its my biggest pet peeve i hate when people fly it wrong

My neighbor gets 3 or 4 "anonymous" letters (he knows they are from us) a week. He leaves his flag on his pole every night, no lights. When he waters his yard, his sprinkler hoses it directly. Last 4th of july somebody stole it and replaced it with a pink flag that says QUEER RIGHT HERE!

I didn't realize there was much more to the US flag rules. I do remember the flag should never touch the ground and it should always be the one on top of other.

I do respect the US flag and its the only flag I shall ever let fly. :headbang:

Im an Eagle scout, and Boy scout troop can take care of it like said above.

We would always do flag ceremony's, there is so much involved in it. But putting up the flag and taking it down in front of a couple hundred people is a pretty cool feeling.
