ok so i was out playing and my truck died. So i tried to re start it, and nothing. so my buddy pulled me home it was only like 15 miles not fun. i got the truck home and could not figure out what was going on. I thought it was my alt at first so i tried checking that but then i could smell fuel so i pulled my intake pipe off and it was blowing air/fuel out of the intake. I pulled the timing belt cover back to see an exposed pulley. Now my question is am i totally f'ed or am i ok. I did try to start the motor while the belt was of cuz i did not know that was the problem. The motor is the 2.3L. And if i did not destroy my valves, or my head how hard is it to get the timing back to where it needs to be for the truck to run. I knew i should have taken my bronco out. Being broke down in the mud sucks.

the 2.3 is non-interference...no bent valves here.

just align the timing marks a toss a new belt on. i usually replace the tensioner while im in there.

x' 2... you should be in good shape, put'er back together and keep on truckin!

Breaker bar on the driver's side frame rail does wonders for the crank bolt if you bump the starter ;)

thanks for the help i will try to fix it after im back from hunting camp.
