For the past few months, the steering in the Ranger has been interesting. For exsample, I will drive down the road and the steering wheel would jerk hard to the right and I would have to hold on to the wheel to keep it going strait. I replaced the gear box and it seemed do be fine for a few weeks. Now the problem is back.I checked everything in the front end, replaced all 4 wheel bearings, and made sure that my manual hubs werent locked in. It happens at any speed.

Sounds like an alignment issue resulting from loose balljoints or wheel bearings. Worn tie rod ends could also contribute to this problem.
