I just cranked my t-bars and put on some 285/75's (33 11.5) on my 03 edge 4x4 3.0. I don't goose it a lot but I'm just about to go do some semi extreme wheel'n. Should I be concerned about blowing an axel? I have had rangers in the past with 33's but I upgraded them to the explorer axels. So I'm not too sure what the life expectency is for stock axels with larger tires.

I would be worried with cranked t-bars, it puts the CVs at more of an angle.

I got 2 1/4 or so lift from the t-bar crank. I'll check the angle to see if it's less or more then 15 degrees. It may be a good Idea to d-crank them a little huh.

33's?

Got 33's on my 88 2.9 auto, ain't broke nothin dyreckly related to um but their at the limit.

They DO hurt hiway preformunce butt then again I use the truck for off road and in town mostly.

Sweet! Thanks for the feedback guys. I checked the angle on my cv's, they are at 13 degrees. Word is from a previous thread is 15 is the max and anything past that is unhealthy. Is that true or do you think I should I turn them down a little?
