so i was searching for explorer crap...like i do every 3-4 days for fun...and happend on some 20" eagle alloys on tires about a year old came off a '98 explorer...AWSOME shape...she was asking $1k for them...i got her down to $800...i did the talkiing but they are for my roommate and his '00 limited explorer...bad part is he cant roll on them till next summer lol since its studded tire season here in the last frontier(sp). :headbang:

thought i'd share the great deal we got

anyhow, what did we learn...again? Craigslist ROCKS!!

Yeah craigslist can be a good spot for sweet deals. They're not my style, but congrats.

Sweet. I love Craigslist - still a place for people offloading the less expensive vehicles that they don't want to pay $30+ to list in the paper or create a full eBay listing. I picked up my '94 Ranger on there a couple of weeks ago for $800 and my '99 Rebel with only 3k miles for $1000.

I have gotten some darn good deals on craigslist too, it is almost too good to be true really...

The rims are not really my style, but they are leaps and bounds better than what he has on there now. :icon_thumby:

those are winter wheels/tires which are steel base modle wheels...they will stay on all winter(with studded snow tires)

next winter he'll run his stock 16" limited wheels with new snow tires...and run the 20s in the summer.

Dang why do you always get the good finds? I guess I don't look for the same things though ( Roll bar, lift, 2.8L performance parts... you know)
