2.5 or 4 inch lift coils?

k i just bought a ''4'' inch rough country lift off a guy for a decient price. the more i looked at it the more it didnt look like it would give me 4inchs of lift. the coils measure about 15.5 inchs tall with nothing on them. somewhere i herd that 17 was a 4 inch lift. so im just wondering if i got played and its only 2.5 or a full 4 inch lift. any help and input i would appriciate. thanks

15.5" is pretty short. I would say that's definitely not going to give you 4" lift unless the coil is like reeaaalllyy stiff.

Stock under my truck with weight on them was approx 10"s.

yea im thinking theres no way ill get 4 out of them, especialy with a small block, c6 and np203 weighing them down. any ideas what a 4" RC lift is suppose to be? and any way i can tell how much lift the drop brackets are for? maybe i could just get new 4 or 6" coils and use the brackets? im still kinda new to the whole twin beam suspension on these, im use to the ol straight front and leafs lol....thanks guys

Measure the length of the bracket that holds the driverside axlebeam and compare it to the lift bracket (IIRC, I think my 6" ones measured 12" from the bottom of the frame to the mounting hole for the axle, so I'm thinking 10" for yours).

If they are 4" brackets, the Skyjacker 6" lift coils (#136) should work well with the extra weight you have going there.
