Hey there. I have a 93 explorer with the 5sp tranny. I just picked up a 1994 mazda b3000 with the 3 liter v6 and a 5sp. Will this tranny bolt up to my current 4 liter? I noticed in the tech library that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears are a bit lower, but I can deal with that. Has anyone ever used a 5sp from a 3 liter on a 4 liter? Thanks for any and all info.

Will the guts from the 3 liter work in the 4 liter? Reason I'm asking is I have a spare m5od from another explorer that only appears to have 4th gear. Thanks.
 
Yes, the internals are identical assuming that they are both 4wd or both 2wd. You could swap the guts to the other transmission case with out any problem.
