tachometer service connector location

hey i am installing a aftermarket tach on my 89 ranger 2.3 i know i have to connect the green wire on the tach to the tachometer service connector but i am not sure where that wire is can anyone direct me to where it is??? thanks alot i know it is a black and yellow wire can anyone help??

figured out what clip it was and it hooked right up didnt realize how low this thing was revving lol, anyone know an easier way to hook up the illumination i spliced it into the hvac control bulb

how low does it say??

i installed one on my 94... not too sure if its the same location as your 89, but i will take a picture of it for you.

When I had an aftermarket tach I tapped into the ilum. wire for the radio.

hey pfc laird, i have a 94 also and will be installing a tach on mine but i don't know where it hooks to, can you send me a pic of where you hooked yours onto?

the wire for the tachometer service connector is tan with a yellow stripe you can find it behind the gauge cluster
