Nasty soundin rattle in 4th

I just noticed today while I was drivin home from school that my truck has a nasty sounding rattle like when I take off in 2nd. It sound like the engine is being starved for fuel but I was revin bout' 2300 so I'm curious if any has any thought on what it might be?

i start off in third all the time whats the big deal?

did i forget to mention i am in 4x4/2wd LOW when i do that?

I think he means it has a nasty sounding rattle while driving 2300rpm in 4th--that sounds like the rattle you get when starting out in too high of a gear.
