EGR CEL Code

2.3 manual ranger, cel says egr, i took the egr out and cleaned it to see if it might have been stuck open and full of carbon deposits and it looks allright and its functioning.
what else could this code be about? i dont really see anything else that would trip that code....
 
I was getting errors of "Insufficient EGR flow" on my 94 2.3L. I never took apart the EGR since one person advised that the EGR very rarly goes bad. I replaced the DPFE (Differential Pressure Feedback Exhaust) sensor and haven't had any CEL lights since. My DPFE sensor was the orginal aluminum casing and the replacement is an all plastic part which isn't suppose to corrode like the other. The part was about $55.
EDIT: The DPFE sensor is mounted on the passenger side firewall and has two vaccum hoses going into it.
