i just installed a body lift on my 99. and right after i did that my steering wheel will randomly shake horribly. once i get back down to about 30 it will go away. then maybe another mile or so it will come back. the shaking is so bad that it feels like its bouncing my whole truck. any help would really be appreciated. i dont know too much about front suspension and the steering.
thanks.

nope. theyre 31's. ive had them pretty much since i've had the truck.

Side-to-side shake can be caused by either toe being out, or by power steering problems. With the engine cold, so you won't overheat, take of your engine belt and go for a short drive and see if anything changes. If so, go troubleshoot your power steering system. If there is no change, check your steering shaft for looseness or damage and look over your steering linkage. Failing that, get your alignment checked.

If it's an up/down bounce, go get your tires spun balanced. It's unlikely but possible that you had a tire failure the same time you did your mod.

If your truck is 4wd, make sure you didn't manage to get it stuck engaged.

well ill check all that stuff tomorrow. and its a side to side shake. im pretty sure its not my 4wd. because that got stuck engaged earlier and it got unstuck once i re-engaged it and disengaged it. could it possibly be a caliper?
