Shocks maxed out with torsion crank?

So I got just a little less than 2" out of my torsion crank and the cv angles look within limits but when driving around and going over anything that slightly resembles a hump in the road, speedbump, etc. I have to roll over it at "super crawl" speed to keep the front end from rising up after it runs up the bump. If I dont then what it feels like to me is when the front end comes up something hits its full drop extension and then I come back down. After examining everything down there the only thing I can think of is the shocks in the front are getting fully extended because I can feel them hitting their max when the nose of the truck raises in the slightest. Any ideas if its not the shocks or what I could do to give it some more travel?

I'm just going to use some grade8 (or better) nuts and maybe a washer. I'll let you know how it goes, maybe snap some pics if I can.


Here's the bolt specs for the bolt you need:

10.9 M12 1.75 pitch 100mm (80mm would've been better)
 
I'm not too familiar with the IFS trucks, but to my knowledge there physically is no more down travel after you've cranked the torsion bars to the max. The suspension is not capibaly of more droop.

The shocks are whats limiting it. ask camburg, Yes its alot of money for there upgrade that gets 1.0 more inches of downtravel. But you do get 7100's which should improve ride quality as well. I took my shock mount off the other day and on my truck i had 1.9 in of downward travel left till the upper balljoint maxed out. Now dont think you can run your truck like that cause you will bend arms, blow cv's and have steering problems. I should be able to post pic's soon im trying to get camburg to release a 4x4 kit to me since im on the east coast and there are no installers withing 500miles of me.
 
It was my idea to use the spacer at the top of the shock stud. I removed the washer/bushing from the top of the shock stud and installed a large nut (say 1/2") as a spacer, then reinstalled the washer/bushing set. You just have to remember that you need a few threads showing through the opposite side of the upper stud nut at the top. If not, you risk the chance of sheering the nut and your shock coming loose. You can gain almost 1" of extra downtravel this way.

You mean you don't think I should put the spacers in?

Has anyone tried it on a torsion bar Ranger?
