More than likely you will need to find a used cross member and shock mounts. I don't think any company makes new bolt on parts.

Here's a stupid ?? why did ford make two different cross members for the manual and auto???? I don't suppose i can use the $25 auto's cross member it's a little cheaper than the $75 dogbone. at least shock mounts are only $20 a pop. How much longer is the 4x4 5spd v.s the 4x4 4 spd since the bodys shot on the bronco and i would like to have an overdrive and i could also get rid of the 3.08 gears in the ranger for 3.45 in the bronco and retain the 2.8 over the 2.9

My '85 Ranger had the funky one that goes on the bottom of the frame on one side to the side of the frame on the other. My '86 parts truck had the dogbone kind that went under the frame on both sides... both have/had A4LD's in them. The tranny mounts are specific to the crossmember though, I had to use my original mount on the '86 tranny when I put it in.

That is of course assuming that they only made 2 styles of crossmembers... and I don't know what the rhyme or reason was for making two when it seems they are close to interchangable.

Where are you at? If you are close I would make you a deal on the dogbone one out of my '86?
