I am Shopping for a set of tires(LT/225/70/15) for the rear of my 2000 XLT/SC 3.0L A/T 2WD..
Some Mild Off-Road driving (Gravel/Shell) ,,Occasional (Clay/Mud).
Mostly Black-top..

I'm looking at several brands, I'm just gathering info. for the time being.

Any Help/Comments/Suggestions are greatly appreciated..

The Brands I am considering:Cooper,Dunlop,General,Continental..

Thanks....

my advice is stay away from continental/general. and i think you mean a P 225 70 15 not LT, i cant think of anyone who makes LTs in that size. michelins (LTX m/s)are going to be your best bet IMO for what driving you do, but they are expensive. i work for discount tire and if you want a good tire at a really good price check out the arizonians.

Nice looking tire ,plenty treadwear & milage warranty

Can you give me any details on treadwall & sidewall thickness/plys,that info isn't on website..

Thanks

they are a standard 4 ply in the tread i believe, not sure on the sidewall but its not really an all terrain so its not going to be super tough. honestly i wouldnt really worry about all that stuff (its really not important until you get into load range D and E) unless you are worried about offroad durability. michelins are the best tires on the market in that size, you can trust them, but like i said they arent really an all terrain so if you want something a little tougher you need to look at either a 215/75 15 or 235/75 15 where you can get all terrains (or muds)
