How difficult is it to swap door guts?? meaning...

Have a donor truck that the cab is pretty good...frame not so good.

I was thinking about swapping doors...but the DD doesn't have electric windows and locks. The donor does, after looking it over the wires to the doors are breaking up....so...not wanting to swap in headaches.

How difficult is it to turn doors that had electric windows and locks into a manual windows and locks???

the corners on the DD doors are starting to rust/ show their age.

thanks in advance

It's not really difficult at all. I've swapped from power doors to manual in one of my 87's.

Basically you only need to remove the door lock actuator, then drill out the rivets to remove the entire window regulator from both doors and switch them in.......

COOL....thanks

I was just over thinking it, I guess....worried if I took out the power windows and locks only find out that something else would NOt work/ aligne right.

Nope.....

All holes will line up for the regulator assembly and window guides, regardless of whether power or not. I used M6 bolts and nuts to re-attatch glass, and bolt the regulator back in, rather than rivet it back together. (allthough you may have to "snake" them in)
