Anyone on here done this? I am considering going this route instead of upgrading to the '95-'97 Dana 35 steering knuckles.

Here is a link I got off line:

this is what i am planning on doing, i dumped the sas idea, only reason i wanted to swap out the dana 35 was the wheel bearings.

that way seems alot more involved to make it work, did you look at the tech library where they use ford bronco 44ttb parts and it dont seem near as much modification then the chevy style in that link

Yea I looked at that, but finding the TTB Dana 44 around me for a decent price isn't going to be easy.

I can get those Chevy and Ford Dana 44 solid axle parts easy; my brother has a Dana 44 sitting in his garage.

damn i thought my area sucked, i found an entire running 93 bronco for 375. i might have to buy that to do my swap and junk the rest.

I will have to look into this more. I think I will also need the outer shaft from a TTB Dana 44 so it will be long enough.

so i guess you abandoned the idea of swapping 95+ dana 35 knuckles onto your truck huh?

No, I am exploring other ideas before I buy the parts. I have someone on Explorer Forum who is going to sell me the parts for $100 shipped.

thats not too bad, i think if your gonna swap knuckles you might as well swap in the 44's to get the better wheel bearing spacing and better hubs.
