Has anyone tried and been succesful reconditioning the headlights mine are horrible yellow and I was wondering if the chrome polish trick really does work in cleaning them up?

The chrome polish trick does actually work.. I did it on my headlights a few weeks ago. I did it on one of my breaks from work. Alot of elbow grease is needed but well worth it. Was alot cheaper than buying new lenses or finding them in a junk yard. I may do it once more when I have more time. But it does work.

Works even better if you use a buffing wheel in a drill.

thanks guys just what I wanted to hear. I'll have clea headlights on a non-moving truck now(I accidently put a hole in my gas tank)

I use this stuff, works best so far of all products I've tried.

I wet sanded my headlights on my 98 ranger first with 1500 grit sandpaper and then i moved to 2000 grit sandpaper and sealed them up with Plastx after sanding and they look brand new! Took a total of about a half hour, if that. Very easy to do even though it may take longer then just applying the chrome polish it lasts alot longer, ive tried the chrome polish and was unsattisfied with how short it lasted, i definitely recommend wet sanding your headlights!
