you can flush the lines. you should replace all the components ......... you need to ask MAKG he is the resident A/C expert

Your compressor came apart internally and blew shrapnel through your ac system. It's pretty much impossible to get it all out of the condenser core and anything that you miss WILL cause problems. It can even cost another compressor.

So, yes, you need a compressor and a condenser core, and you need all of your lines cleaned out. You'll also get a new accumulator and orifice tube to go along with the new compressor.

Do not go junkyard. You will regret it.

Basically, if it touches refrigerant, it's hosed now.

MAYBE you might get away with cleaning out the evaporator and maybe the liquid line. But that's it. And those are the cheapest parts.

You could get it from a junkyard IF it was evacuated AFTER you requested it AND the orifice tube is clean. If it's empty, it's going to be a disaster.

The new parts don't cost as much as you might think. I had a similar failure in the Exploder, and got it taken care of for under $300 in parts (the compressor was waranteed).

4.0Ls have inline filters in the suction line that can be difficult to clean. So, the vapor lines need replacing too.
