hey all just bought a power acoustic 960w 4ch amp n the guy assured me that it worked and i was short on time so after a good lookin over i bought it for 35 bucks but when i got home i noticed bolth fuses were blown so i started talking to one of my friends whos into audio and he told me to run a wire from the ground of the battery to the ground of the amp the hot to the hot and then loop a wire from the remote to the stripped part of the hot wire and connect the hot on the battery to turn the amp on and then the green light should come on. but when i tried this it poped as if it was drawing hard on the battery and then blew bolth fuses. is this how i should test it and are there any other ways and is the amp blown?

ground to ground, hot to hot and remote to hot should turn the amp on. if it blows fuses with it connected like this the amp is messed up.

Yes, that doing that should have turned the amp on without blowing fuses. Not sure what's wrong with it, but sounds like there's something seriously wrong with it.

And a word of advice for future posts, please use some punctuation. It makes your posts 100000x easier to read. Just a period here and there does wonders.
