Well some of you know me i havnt been on in a couple months....for some reasen my account was deleted. I went to sign on and no go. Any ways for those of you who dont knowme i have a 1984 Ford Ranger 2wd with a 2.0 (not a 2.3 a 2.0) that use to be my dads. After my dad died my mom gave me the truck and i drove it for a year till the old 2.0 finally croaked. It has been sitting for about 3 years only driven a few times to move it do to the fact the motor could lock up any time. I was asking a few months ago on people suggestions wether to go v8 or turbo charged 4cyl. I finally decided to go with the V8 i figure i can get more hp out of it in the long run. I found a 302 with a 5speed trans a friend had and bought it a few days ago. hopefully in the next few weeks we will be towing the ranger over to his garauge and the tear down will start. I will try to get some pics of the truck as it is and through the process.
My goal is to make the truck look nice but nothing special. maby a hard cover on the back and some nice rims with a white paint job with 2 black rally stripes but other than that nothing to "goddy". I want it to be faster than it looks.

Any ways i asked about it so much last winter i figured since im getting ready to start i might as well post my process. And thanks to all of you who answered all my questions no matter how dum they may have seemed :D

Ya im not in a big hurry. This is something that i want to be done right and not be pulling the engine back out to fix something later. Another thing im trying to decide what to use for a rear end. Right now it has the stock puny rear end in it im not sure what im going to use. any suggestions? i dont want any thing to huge but i want it to handle the power from a v8.
