I prefer to make my own, cheap and you can build it how you want.
True that it is cheaper to make your own, not to mention that you can build it how ever you want. I found though with mine that I had a lot more time into it than I thought I would. Not to mention that not everyone has the skill or the equipment to do it. If you do though, more power to you.
