Side Marker 01 Ranger

right front sidemarker bulb out, is there a way to get to the bulb, other than taking the headlight out?
 
unfortunately not, the sidemarkers are screwed in and the only way to access the screws is by removing the headlight. Done it a few times myself, take off the trim pieces on the top of the headlight underneath the hood, pull up on the two metal tabs behind the headlight assembly, and wiggle the headlight out.
 
Appreciate that, I wasn't sure if there was a "trick" to it... Thanx

Thanks for the info. I have an 2003 ranger and the side marker light burnt out. It wasn't obivous to me how to change the bulb. With your explanation I had it changed in no time.
