i have a mazda 5 speed that when I shift into second gear i really have to force it hard to get it into gear. Also when I shift from third to fourth it will grind going into fourth it I dont wait about 2 second before shifting into fourth. I heard putting in synthetic ATF could help the grinding issues. Will that also help the hard shifting into second issues? thanks

There isn't any mechanic in a bottle.

2nd gear is the weakest one here. It's very susceptible to long-term forcing by the driver. The fix is a teardown and rebuild, replacing the 2nd gear blocking ring and whatever else might be damaged. This is quite pricey.

A problem shifting into 4th may indicate loose bearings. Something else that requires a teardown and rebuild.
