so I have a 92 ranger 2wd reg cab reg box with a m5od and a 93 explorer witha 4.0 and a a4ld 4x4.

anyway, I want to put the 4.0 and a4ld in the ranger

quesion1: can I remove the transfer case and use my exsisting driveshaft?

question 2: If not, can I run the t-case without the front drifeshaft?

any help is appreciated

Question 1: no

Question 2: yes

Question three: why???????

texas hills + 2.3+ clutch slave going bad = fail

I could use the 5 speed but I'm sick of driving manual. I do plan on slapping the biggest trans cooler I can find on it. Maybe even one of those 5" ac fans from a honda or something

no because a a4ld off of a 4.0 will not bolt to a 2.3

Slave cylinders are cheaper than even the least towing bill when the A4LD fails.
