okay, two weeks ago i was washing my87 b2, 2.9l, 5 sp off with a hose while running, as i was cleaning the motor, it started to idel bad and stall out. it would fire back up but idel rough . i drove it home and did not touch it for a week(hot weather during the week, 18*C) i went to work on it 5 day later, and it ran fine...

went out 4x4ing the next day and got into a mud hole a little deep and it started running bad and a slight miss. got home, let it stand for the week till today(this week was cold and wet)

here is what i have change:
ing moduler, cap, rotor, plug wires, MAP, IAC, TPS, fuel filter, i check the fuel pressurge while idel and driving and its good(35 idel, moves up 10 when reved up) check air intake, air filter, and some of the wire conectors around the motor.

the only thing i can think of that may cause my bad idel that i have not change is the distriputer.

any thoughs, suggestions or ideas would be great

thanks
Kris

It really could be anything... You have an 87; which doesn't really have a MIL. You might start by pulling codes to see if the PCM seen any faults when the truck was acting up.

Start with the simple stuff.

Sounds like you simply have a crack in the dist cap, or messed up spark plug wires.

dry your cap and rotor. does your oil look sludgy/wet? move on to spark plugs. then move on to the rest of your electrical conectors. vasoline or dielectric grease applied to the pins will prevent this from happening again.

i have change the cap and rotor and all plug wires, as stated in the first post, and plugs.. i checked a few of the eletrical conections, but will re-check them and the rest tomorow.

any other suggestions would be great!!
