ok keep in mind I live in Kodiak, AK and I cant just roll down to my local 18 inch tire dealer and test out a wide variety of 18 inch tires. Gotta get this shit right the first time.

I found some 18s by the dumpster and I snagged them to see if they would fit on the ranger.

holy shit they fucking fit.

anyways, they have tires with very short sidewall... I guess low profile is what they are called. tires are shot and need new tires. I want to use the 18s but I want a taller tire on it so that it will fit the wheel well. I dont want to lower the truck.

is this possible?

235 40r18 is the current size. looks like my buttcheeks.

ranger is a stock 88

Kodiak eh? I was born and lived there for a few years.....

You're asking what size tires will fit? Look in the tech library to see what sizes will work. If you need there is a calculator to convert from Standard to Metric and vise versa.

a good tire store should be able to find a new tire for your 18's that will be close to stock size.

I would bet those are Mustang Wheels...or Wheels that came off of a Mustang.

Do you have a pic of the wheel that you can post? How wide are the rims? There is usually a number cast in the the inner part of the rim....18x9 JJ or somthing along those lines..

What is the backspace? And Offset?
